Today our Grade 6 students represented the adaptation we made of Shakespeare´s play Midsummer Night´s Dream for Primary students of both CEIP PLURILINGÜE RÍA DE VIGO and CEIP PLURILINGÜE SAN ROQUE DE DARBO in Cangas.
I´d like to congratulate them for their great performance as well as hard work. Just remember that they wrote the dialogues of the adaptation I made of the play...
I will post the video of the play and another one we made with the best outtakes. In the meantime, you can watch some pictures of the show.
Stay tune, since there will be more to come.

Visiting Cangas...!!!!! Sharing experiences across the Ría
In relation to our project Sharing Experiences Across the Ría, yesterday our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students had the great opportunity of meeting the students of the school CEIP SAN ROQUE DE DARBO in Cangas. There they attended to their great show in English at the Cangas Auditorium and learnt about the old town, being guided by the Cangas students.
First,Grade 5 students introduced the San Roque English Festival.
Secondly, we attended to the performance of a skirt by Grade 6 students about different situations that make them feel good to end dancing the song "I feel good" by James Brown.
Then, they represented the Musical GREASE..., which was amazing and our students enjoyed the play.
Finaly, after the Festival closure, we visit the following places on a Cangas tour:

Sharing Experience Across the Ría. Part 1: Rivers are more than water.
By Sharing Experiences Across the Ría, we came across a new challenge of cooperating in the English classroom with The CEIP PLURILINGÜE SAN ROQUE DE DARBO, which lies in Cangas, just across Ría de Vigo. This Project, which is currently running in the English Language, not only involves the knowledge of our environment, but also two plays that would be represented by Grade 6 students of both schools. Since we are now working on them, I have decided to upload the results as soon as we get them and share them with you. We´ll keep you updated!!!
In the meantime, you can watch this presentation made by Keith Lematti, our Irish Assistant Teacher. This presentation serves as an introduction to our Project; so that our students become familiar with geography items and vocabulary they may need to describe their environment. It is also another opportunity to teach English following a CLIL APPROACH, integrating English and Geography.
Stay tuned, since there will be more to come...!!!!!!!!!!
