Let´s compare, then, by Rita. Grade 5.

Let´s compare then!
It´s obvious that life during confinement is more boring than before. But why? Let´s think…
f During the confinement kids can´t go to the school so now they are more relaxed than before the pandemic. But they also receive a lot of homework to do, so perhaps they are busier too.
f I think that during the confinement people get up later in the morning but also go to bed later because they don´t have to go to work or go to the school. Routine has changed. I personally feel that days are shorter although they are longer because of spring. It´s strange!
f People miss people. All of us. We can talk to the family and friends by videoconference but that’s colder than real contact but certainly “skype moments” are often the most wonderful and funny moments of the day.
f And what about eating? Now we can´t go to the supermarket every day and we have to be more organized with our products. I hate shopping. So this change is better for me!
f We can´t travel. We can´t go to the beach or make picnics. People love these things. So people were happier before. But we discover that staying at home we can save lives like heroes do and at least for me that´s more import than travelling or having fun.
f I love going to cinema. Well, actually I love movies and TV shows. Now, we have to watch them at home and here we are more comfortable. But movies are more impressive  at the cinema, because screen is bigger and the sound is higher. There, you feel part of the show!
f And, what about cities? These days they are cleaner and some of them have received new visitors: wild animals! I´ve seen panthers, penguins, boars, … And that´s because cities are now quieter and more peaceful. Now, there are no cars or buses but  the traffic was heavier before. We became healthy  and animals won space!
f But we can´t forget all the people that died or got ill. This was one of the worst pandemic in history. So, I want to thank all the people that risked their life to save others: the most courageous doctors, the kindest nurses, the bravest policeman, the more intelligent scientist, … Thank you so much!
